A ‘Jammy’ Writing Competition

‘Words With Jam’ is a free bi-monthly* online magazine for readers and writers and to celebrate their first birthday, they’re running a writing competition to win a place on a four-day residential writing course in Cornwall.  It’s free to enter, so if your mouth’s already watering, read on….!

The holiday has been donated by Orion chick-lit author Ruth Saberton and includes all tuition, 5-star accommodation in Polperro, food at a local inn, drinks and a car parking permit.

Sounds great, doesn’t it – so what are you waiting for?

How to enter:

  • Write the last couple of lines of a story, in a maximum of 40 words.
  • The lines can be completely new, or from something you’ve already written (but it mustn’t have been published).
  • Your ‘last lines’ can be in any genre.
  • Send the lines in the body of an email (up to 3 entries per person allowed), to: danny@wordswithjam.co.uk
  • The closing date is 14th January 2011.

Good Luck!

*a strange but true fact: ‘bi-monthly’ can mean both ‘twice a month’ and ‘once every two months’! (According to the Oxford English Dictionary). And we thought language was supposed to make things clearer. In this case I mean the magazine appears every two months.
