Creative Writing Summer School at Warwick Uni

If you’re Midlands-based and you like the idea of a week’s ‘writing holiday’ without having to leave home, then you might be interested in the non-residential Creative Writing Summer school running at Warwick University from Monday 25th – Friday 29th July inclusive (by coincidence, the same week as Caerleon Writers’ Holiday, which I wrote about recently).
Warwick University, by the way, is on the edge of Coventry, rather than in Warwick, for reasons best known to itself!
It’s not cheap but the £320 fee does include lunch, parking (normally £3 per day at the University!) and refreshments and if you look on the website here, the programme’s fairly packed.
I know Connie and Cathy who are running the course, as we’ve bumped into each other at various Warwick Words events over the years and Cathy is a former Warwick Poet Laureate, like me. I’m sure they’re friendly, inclusive and professional but I’ve never seen them ‘in action’, as it were, so I can’t vouch for their tuition! But they’ve got plenty of experience in teaching Creative Writing, so I’m sure it will good. Let me know how you get on, if you book up!
